College Football(Conference realignment) What do you want to happen for your school?

As a Michigan fan I can just sit back and watch, but I want a big 16 conference with Nebraska,Rutgers,Missouri,Syracuse and ND. I am on the fence about ND, but they give the Big Ten more popularity and TV coverage. I defiantly want Nebraska. They fit in great with the Big Ten.

Why do you want Rutgers if you get Syracuse? One of those two will get you the New York TV contract. You can't get that contract twice. You may as well take Syracuse and UConn and try for the New England market too. . . Then you'd be a real power in basketball and football. I can't think of one thing Rutgers has to offer.

I follow a couple of teams... (I went to a D2 team, so I don't have a degree hanging on my wall commanding the attention of one school)

Penn State: I'd like to see Pitt in the Big 10, to bring back that rivalry. I mean, Michigan State is not a rivalry, no matter how much they'd like to pretend it is... Syracuse is a rivalry too, but Syracuse's football is pretty weak. I want to see the old Pitt-Penn State rivalries come back.

Pitt: Now, I wouldn't mind seeing Pitt go to the Big 10... It would improve football a lot, but could hurt in basketball. (recruiting) I think I'd like to see Pitt and WVU stick together and go as a package somewhere when the Big East disolves (which I think will happen) ... Perhaps the ACC is the best fit. It wouldn't hurt Wanstedt's recruiting in football (which as with WVU, is centered around Western PA, and Florida.... Not Ohio or Michigan at all, or even New Jersey like Penn State) and it will make for some great Basketball games in the Pete. . .

Maryland: I mean, ideally they'd get together with Penn State, Pitt and WVU in the same conference, but that's not going to happen. They're ACC through and through now, and Penn State is tied to the Big 10, because of money. Back in the 80s they were talking about putting together an Eastern conference which would have been Penn State, WVU, Maryland, Pitt, Syracause and Temple. That would have been fun, for the traditional rivalries. The best we can hope for I guess is for Pitt and WVU to go to the ACC, with Maryland.

As an OU fan I don't really care what happens. Whether we go to the Pac-10, Big-10, SEC It doesn't really matter. We will still be competitive. We wont be winning conference championships like we were but we will still be a force to be reckoned with. Im just going to laugh when all these teams that think they need more money so they are leaving the Big 12 are going to spending every penny they get flying to these games. Difference between a bus ride and a plane ride is quite a chunk of change.

I would rather see OU go to the Pac-10 than the SEC or Big 10. Im all for tough conferences but I don't want all the best programs at this point in time in one conference beating the daylights out of each other.

Believe it or not the teams that don't make any moves will probably benefit the most. The teams that are supposedly being left out in the cold. Who you going to pick for a title game, 2 undefeated teams or 2 9-3 teams? Teams like TCU and Boise State and BYU are looking pretty good right now. They go undefeated and there will be all hell breaking loose if they don't get in the title game over some team that is clearly better just had a 50 times harder schedule.

I am also a sooner fan and i also don't see any downfalls to any scenario. I would like the Big 12 to stand united but poor leadership (Dan Beebe, Big 12 Commish) just about makes that impossible. That being said, if OU did have to find a new home I think it would be better for all of college football if the six Big 12 South teams moved to the Pac-10 to create a superconference, which in turn, would cause the Big 10 and the SEC to create more superconferences and would eventually lead to the playoff system we've all been waiting for.

I will be a Nebraska Cornhusker fan for life, no matter what conference they play in. I was in favor of staying in the Big 12, but with them giving the Huskers an ultimatum, I say they should join the Big 10.

Another Sooner fan here and I would have to echo what the first two said. My prediction on what will happen is Notre Dame will join the Big 10 and everyone else will stay put. Oh yeah, Boise to the Mountain West as well.

My school MS State is in the sec. i want to see Texas schools join the SEC and not go to the PAC 10. I want to see the WAC and the Mountain West merge together too.

It doesnt really matter where Texas goes as long as OU is there so we can keep beating them
