When babies have a fever from teething, is is contagious?
So, my sister in law still brought her son over to my place for me to babysit him even after I told her not too if he was running a temp, bc I have other children, my 2 yr old, a 1 year old and a 1 mth old baby. She still brought him over after I sent her a text message yesterday telling her if he was running a temp not to bring him. She said the doc said that he is not contagious if it is teething. What do ya'll think? Personally I am not very happy at all that she still brought him! :-(

A fever from teething is not contagious....It's the bodys way of dealing with the inflammation of the gums. However, a teething child should not have a fever over 101. A fever from teething should only be slight, usually around 100.5. If the child is running an actual fever of 101-102 degrees, then that means the child is sick, and it's not from teething.

Teething fevers are not contagious...if she is SURE it is a teething fever. Teething fevers are less than 101 with no other symptoms except for things like drooling, swollen gums, ect. But if the baby is just teething, it is not contagious, just the body's reaction to the pain and swelling. Good luck!
