When I went in, they told me to have a full bladder and to not use the bathroom for at least an hour before the appt. And sometimes they will make you empty your bladder right before they start the ultrasound. Thats what they did to me.

Years ago when I had my 1st children it was really important for a full bladder, so full it got painful. Now I've found that the scans are much better so it isnt as important. I would go to the toilet about an hour before your scan and then continuely sip water until your scan. That's the way I've done it and my scans have been super clear :)

You don't have to drink more water than you normally should. There's plenty of fluid in your sac and they don't need your bladder to be full to see. And trust me, you don't want a full bladder while they're doing it. Mine took almost 2 hours and if I had had a full bladder with all that pressing they did down there, O geez I would have peed everywhere!

No, I continuously have been given a million due date. some human beings's menstrual cycles are longer than others, so this might push the date somewhat better by using some days, yet could in ordinary terms be an afternoon or 2 distinctive than an ultrasound could be. I additionally heard that the faster ultrasounds are greater precise than the later ultrasounds whilst it consists of relationship the being pregnant. besides, you will possibly be able to desire to circulate into exertions each time. a toddler is now seen finished-term at 37 weeks and previous, so have your bags waiting to circulate at 37 weeks.
