My son fell on his head last night?

As his pjs had feet on them and slipped right underneath him. He is only 14 months but fell on the hardwood. Today he is sleeping a lot and is very cranky. My sitter said he is acting like he is teething and isn't taking the bottle again today either. We also were at a party this weekend where a stupid woman brought he child that looked like she was still very sick, but she said she was getting over it. Do you think the fall has anything to do with him today, or do you think it's teething or him getting sick? I have all these thoughts going through my mind, and want another opinion. He isn't getting a runny nose or anything, but this was just on Sunday.

Thanks!

Let me guess, this is your first kid? He's not going to become a retard, he won't die of some mysterious disease and most likely he is just being cranky. At 14 months they are still exploring emotions and try to adjust to anything new, which at his age is probably everything. Keep watching him, not like a hawk just like a parent. Check on him like you would a turkey cooking for a long time, not to scared it will burn but not so nonchalant that it will fry. Just breath.

What you just explained is sounds some-what like head injury or trauma. It may be serious or may not be. When i was a baby my mom realized i had a bump on my head. She never dropped my, and i never fell, however my mom was freaking out. She didn't no if it was a beauty mark or if something was seriously wrong. She decided to take me to the doctor and that was the best decision she ever made in her life. I do not want to go into details but something was wrong. Basically my mom saved my life.

those things you've mentioned occurring after a head injury are clear signs that he needs to be looked at by a doctor.

    get him into emerg.
