What is your opinion of a man who did this?

It would be bad enough if he had an affair with someone his wife didn't know or was close to, but to sleep with her BEST FRIEND? I think this poor woman needs to surround herself with healthier people. This man is selfish and the other woman is crazy. And for the husband's mom to encourage this? That's just messed up.

Also, this man doesn't sound too bright...he gives his girlfriend a key and then invites his wife over? His mother knew about the affair?

I hope it was worth it. He lost his family and (hopefully) the crazy beyotch.

Theres not enough info there to say whether he's a great guy or a sleaze. He didn't just happen one day after 25 years of marriage say "gee, I'm going to start a long term affair with my wife's best friend". I'd have to think there is a lot more to the story than the wife is letting on.

Edit: for laughs, I came up with one scenario that would make it all sound different. The man's business has been steadily losing money the last 6 years, but the wife refuses to even slow spending, and most of her spending is on the kids, including their car payments + rent. Whenever he talked about separating checking accounts, she became verbally abusive and cut him off from sex. Before moving out, he hadn't had sex with her in the last 6 years, and she only started to again to entice him to come "back home" so she could get back to spending his money.

He's a 'Player'; a very good one at that, but that is all he is. The wife would be better off without him in her life, same goes for the mistress, she is in the same league as her boyfriend. I have a friend who is pretty much in the same boat so he spends alot of time working overseas to avoid having to deal with it.

I guess this is what it took to get your neighbor to see this slime for what he really is. Of course he's going to run. Men are like rats. Always the first to abandon a sinking ship. When the going gets rough the scum always runs. But then again you neighbor should have seen this coming. And now she will have to do whatever it is to make her happy. Divorce the P.O.S. and take him for every penny he has and have her arrested for assault. One cannot just walk into someones apartment and start beating on a man and his wife while they are in bed together. But at least now with him gone your neighbor will have time to think clearly and start doing what she has to do.

I also think he is a sleaze and the women is a whore but he is also very disrespectful to his wife and children. so what if you want a nother women tell your wife and kids the truth. and if you want your friends man or women speak up and say so.

Awful.! and yeah, when the other one cheats, they always say that the victim is crazy, paranoid etc.

No, not really, obviously no one would say that. He is one, stupid, two a man ***** and three screwed when his business trip ends. It's well deserved what is coming to him As for his mistress, she was messed up to even go along with it. I feel for their families :(

yes i couldnt agree with you more the guy is definitley a loser and the other woman just a nasty *****. i hate people like that and especially how he went for her best friend and she even took his advances thats even grimer sick people.
