Suggestions for a monologue?

For the theatre camp (Tal's Camp) I will be attending this summer, a monologue of any sort EXCEPT classical or from the plays to be performed (see list) of up to 1:30 in length is required for the initial audition and for auditions afterwards. I've been relying on the same monologue since last year's camp for everything there and since and it's time to retire it. It doesn't even really suit me.

Description:

I am a 15-year-old female, 5'4'', hourglass, long brown hair that can be anything from ringlets to straight (naturally), square face, pale and unblemished skin and large green eyes. Recent English immigrants on my father's side and recent full-blood Cherokee ancestors on both side make up my appearances, the Cherokee more so than the English. Can wear glasses (frames, brown) for reading.

Background:

Tough and lonely childhood of racial discrimination, G/T programs, real Southern woman in all aspects and history, been working with kids as a teacher/volunteer/mentor since I was young, currently volunteer every Sunday in Sunday School with a class of 1st graders since they were in Kinder.

Personality:

Very tough, somewhat introverted, rarely cry or come close, heart of gold, high moral values, fiery, apathetic, intelligent, mature, hardworking, very independent, friendly, loyal, self-guided in pretty much everything, all wrapped around an incredibly stubborn core that comes out in pretty much anything. Top this all with mood swings that are almost literally druggie in style! (Go from high and on-top-of-the-word to dead asleep in about five minutes)

To wrap it up: I'm a director who can do everything from act every role and all the tech. Actually, I probably could.

Talents:

Dance, art (all types), writing, acting (of course), and a strong sense of techie.

Past roles/monologues:

Various- skits in school for core subjects

The angry and protagonist roles- Church, youth group

Captain Kirk- Star Trek, the Corbomite Manuver (school class, film)

Storyteller- Othello, or, Chasing the Green-Eyed Monster

Witch- [The Scottish play by Shakespeare] (a kid's version)

Goose- Charlotte's Web the Musical

George, the staff watcher- The Memorandum

Nessarose/backstage chorus- Wicked, a kids' version

The only sound tech- Harvey

Penny- Musical revue, Hairspray skit

Dancer- Musical revue, Legally Blonde's "Bend and Snap" dance

Backstage crew- Musical revue

Ms. F.D. Moorehead- I Remember Mama

Mrs. Pringle- Monologue, "Fourteen"

From these descriptions and past roles, I ask that you provide suggestions for a monologue. Thank you.

You didn't like the monologues I suggested? Because it's been a few days since you gave me your opinions, how do you like them now?

Well...I was browsing the questions here...I found "Like a Virgin" by Gordon Steele.

Because it's two minutes long, you'll have to cut something.

One that I really liked was Agnes's monologue in "The Notorious Mrs. Ebbsmith".

AGNES. [With changed manner, flashing eyes, harsh voice, and violent gestures.] The sufferers, the toilers; that great crowd of old and young–old and young stamped by excessive labour and privation all of one pattern–whose backs bend under burdens, whose bones ache and grow awry, whose skins, in youth and in age, are wrinkled and yellow; those from whom a fair share of the earth’s space and of the light of day is withheld. [Looking down at him fiercely.] The half-starved who are bidden to stand with their feet in the kennel to watch gay processions in which you and your kind are borne high. Those who would strip the robes from a dummy aristocracy and cast the broken dolls into the limbo of a nation’s discarded toys. Those who–mark me!–are already upon the highway, marching, marching; whose time is coming as surely as yours is going!

    I can't wait for camp! =)

thoughts from Monologues for young ones: in certain circumstances, I awaken contained in the approach the evening, and that i in simple terms experience so depressed. all and sundry contained in the homestead is asleep. i believe like i'm on my own contained in the global. outdoors, the city is darkish and desolate, and the pavement glows and the streetlights make each little thing look...unreal. i attempt to bypass back to sleep yet i'm able to't. you recognize, in certain circumstances i ask your self why I even difficulty occurring. Waking up on a daily basis on the smash of day in simple terms to experience the bus the position i'm pushed and shoved, and each and each of the folk round me have those chilly and empty eyes. Going to varsity the position I rush from type to type feeling on my own and at a loss for words. Is there all people available, all people in any respect? who's conscious and feeling what i'm? As written, it isn't surprising, yet with the right pauses and decision of emotion and voice, it may be fantastic. It helped me get an performing award :-)
