Places to sell old valuable books/Bibles-mostly Christian?

My Dad died March 3 of this year. I have his library and am selling all the old valuable ones where I can find places to get the most for them to help my mother and myself also.

Does anyone know any places online, addresses/catalogues for book buyers, etc?

I have things like a 1549 Latin Vulgate, pre-1800 Welsh Bible with metal corners, metal latches, other embellishments, a 1550 Stephanus and other things.

Plus a lot of secular books on places and peoples throughout history and the world....

Thanks,

Debbie

    Open a store on Amazon?

UBid.com is an alternative to Ebay.

    http://www.cash4books.net/

Be careful with that last one and check it out first. I just saw it on Google. It sounds like Cash4Gold, which doesn't always work out.

    Get them appraised.

The 1549 and the 1550 if they were printed in that year and are in good condition are quite valuable.

there is a 1549 Latin Vulgate for sale on ebay for 5000$US

There is a 1549 Matthew -Tyndale Bible for 50000$us

Try Googling Hay-on-Wye bookshops. It´s a town in Wales burting at the seams with bookshops - it´s world famous for second hand books from the cheapest to the most valuable. It´s a second-hand bookshop mecca, and there´s bound to be one there who will be VERY interested in contacting you about your books. Make a list of your books, get a list of bookshops in Hay-on Wye and start e-mailing!

regrettably, the 1988-ninety 3 window became marked with extensive overproduction of maximum card instruments. there's some issues in there that carry collector interest, yet maximum of it fairly is powerful basically for donating, bookmarking, or firestarting.

not online sorry, but try bookstores...not the major chains but older established bookstores who may know of collectors
