How to get cigarette smell out of jewelry?
Recently bought some jewelry online, The posting didn't say it was from a smoker's home but TADA - it was. Any thoughts on how to get rid of that smell? They are vintage costume jewelry pieces in various colored metals and rhinestones with pits and grooves so I don't want anything too harsh...or that won't rinse fully away. Thanks all!

i've got examine lots approximately human beings buying issues from ebay and then they are able to't get the putrid smells out of the flaws they offered there. besides, i could be careful approximately soaking it in alcohol like a prior guy or woman responded here. it incredibly is conceivable that the alcohol can smash the end on the pearls or if there is any glue or some thing, it could loosen it and make the entire ingredient cave in. case in point, it could reason injury even to the string that the necklace is strung on. i could bypass with the toothpaste ingredient. that's what I do with my rings. Or, you are able to bypass to maximum rings counters in distinctive shops and that they frequently sell rings purifier. it incredibly is a few thing which you will soak your stuff in. i ought to admit, i've got in no way heard of rings smelling of cigarette smoke --- extremely to the ingredient which you won't be able to get the scent out of it. Yuck! i desire you be triumphant. it incredibly is a shame which you will get caught like that.

Please don't use perfume! It can damage or discolor jewelry. Try wrapping it in a dryer sheet and putting it in a ziploc bag. Simple dish soap and water (with a soft toothbrush) is what we recommend for costume jewelry. Do not soak it in anything as this can loosen stones that have been glued in (common in costume jewelry)

soak it in like perfume / body spray and then wash it off?
it'll come out in time anyway :)
if not maybe rub it in lavender or some strong smell that you like
