Sperm granulomas. Yes, I've heard of them. I'm betting you conceived your daughter rather quickly after the reversal? Sperm granulomas form when the body comes in contact with the sperm...I'm betting the sperm actually leaked out between the sutures of the reconnection, the granulomas formed and your hubby's vas defernes became blocked again, rendering him sterile again. The tubes scar over within the first 18 months after a reversal in these cases (happens around 4% of the time in successful reversal). The man sees a sharp decline in sperm counts between months 8-12 post reversal in these cases. Sometimes it's because the reversal surgeon didn't use small enough thread and careful stitches, sometimes it's because ejaculation occurred too soon after reversal (before 10 days post op in most cases), sometimes psychical work was resumed too quickly after reversal, and sometimes it just happens, no real reason. The man may be a quick healer and prone to scarring. Granulomas must be removed surgically and then he will also need a repeat reversal. I'm sorry I don't have better news for you. Look at both sources below. The first will offer a defination as to what a sperm granuloma is and how they form. The second has videos and a very detailed illustration of what happens in a reversal and what "pitfalls" may arise, meaning why some reversals fail over time. GL

This simply means scar tissue. The problem is that if they are excised new scars may form anyway.
