Would it be okay to wear my Combats to a funeral?
Im currently serving in the British Army and a close relative has passed away, the funeral is very soon and i am unable to obtain a suit. Would it be acceptable to wear my Combats or my drill kit (lightweights), as my number 2's are also unavailable?
Thank you very much in advance!

Wear the best civvy clothes you have ... it doesn't have to be a suit. Dress pants and nice shirt would be ok. Try to avoid any uniform (except dress uniform which you say is not available) as that might take away from the dignity of the funeral. Is there a service QM stores available nearby? If you explained to the CO what the problem is maybe they could issue/loan you a dress uniform for the day. Good luck!!

unless your friend served, then id say no. go as your self not as a soilder, just wear something casual like black trousers and a black shirt, (you can usually get both from a charity shop for about £10) good luck
