If you had a choice, would you rather be active duty Air Force, or Full time ANG? Why?
My husband is active duty right now (Capt, prior enlisted, 11 years in total), has an opportunity to apply for a full time ANG slot in our hometown, but we are unsure which is the best way to go. Anybody out there done both?

There's probably more room for advancement and interesting assignments if you stay Active Duty. But then again, a full time slot close to home would give him more time to spend with extended family and friends. I'd probably pick the ANG slot, personally, because family is high priority for me.
