Nebraska Football and the Big Ten?

Since Nebraska moved in to the Big Ten, has there been any news on how they're going to divide the conference for their Championship Game? I'm pretty sure both Michigan and Ohio St. will cry foul if they're paired in the same side...

What do you all think? How should the conference be split up? North and South, East and West, or something else? Which teams should be (or, which would you like to see) on which side?

    I say:

    Indiana

    Ohio St.

    Michigan

    Michigan St.

    Penn St.

    Purdue

    and

    Illinois

    Iowa

    Minnesota

    Nebraska

    Northwestern

    Wisconsin

But, who knows? This is the best way to keep down travel expenses which will be a large consideration.

I think North and South. North will consist of : Minnesota, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Northwestern. South will be: Penn State, Ohio State, Nebraska, Purdue, Indiana, Illinois.

I know it sounds weird and everything, but you CANNOT put Michigan and Ohio State in the same conference because knowing the Big 10 there going to want to plan in the future for Michigan and Ohio State in the Big 10 championship it has to happen. It seems like the South will have all of these good teams but not really the North has alot of good teams as well. Wisconsin, Iowa, Northwestern, Michigan State and then theres your two crap teams =). But then yet again they might want to put Nebraska in the North conference so Ohio State and Nebraska have the chance to play each other in the championship game. I dont know about you but im excited for how this is going to play out

Why would they cry foul about that? If they were split up, it would be a rivalry game every other year, assuming Michigan doesn't return to its dominant state in college football. They like the annual way of working things. Plus, there will only be two divisions right now. It's only a 12 team conference in the 2011 season. So this is how I feel it'll be balanced the best:

    Big 10 North:

    Ohio State

    Michigan

    Wisconsin

    Purdue

    Northwestern

    Minnesota

    Big 10 South:

    Penn State

    Nebraska

    Iowa

    Illinois

    Michigan State

    Indiana

I think east and west would make things simple, but i couldn't stand it if my buckeyes didn't play michigan every year. Yes the east would be the dominant side if they put Penn St, Ohio St. and Mich. on the same side. Nebraska just left the big 12 north, the weakest of the two. Texas and Oklahoma put up with it for almost 20 years both big 12 south.

Actually Michigan and Ohio State will probably be paired together, so they can play each other at the end of the season. The hard part is what to do with Penn State. OSU, Michigan and Penn State in one division isn't really fair, since they are three of the 4 highest profile programs. My guess is they will do an East and a west, with hopes that ND will join and make it Nebraska, Iowa, ND and Wisconsin in the west, and OSU, Penn State, Michigan and MSU in the east.

During the press conference on Friday the Big Ten commissioner said they would work and divisions and schedules later this summer. I would divide the conference with 6 teams in the west and six teams in the east.
