  • Apartment manger checking locks?

This will sound crazy, so be prepared.

I moved into an apt that was too good to turn down. One of the agreements on the lease was I was not to have over night visitors. Anyways, while I was at work, my girlfriend spent the night and while she was there, she told me she knocked lightly on the door and walked in. The manager saw my girlfriend a told her she was just checking locks and walked out. I confronted my manger about this and asked her why didn't she give me any kind of notice. She says she didn't need to give notice and now that she saw my girlfriend I'm being evicted. Can she do this ? I was certain that some type of notice was to be given to me. Please help.

  • Double standard?

My girlfriend likes other athletes and actors on tv, she tells me about it and I have no problem with it. Just recently I made a comment on FB about on a celebrity how hot she was. This popped up in her news feed and now she is super upset at this and we may break up. She claims I'm not the person she thought I was. I told her she does the same thing and she says I'm like all the other men. Put the blame on her after I know I did wrong. I don't think she will forgive me. It's a long distance relationship and she is coming to stay for a month. Is this worth going on? She keeps throwing it in my face. And compares me to her ex who has done far worse things than I have. What should I do?

  • Does working part time have an affect?

does working part time (29 hours a week) have an affect on ability to learn their job quickly?

i work part time in a hotel store room with hundreds of different foods and ingredients for cooking including many different types of produce. I am new to this line of work, and my boss gave me a poor 90 days evaluation. But i only work three to four days a week and the most for 6 hours or less. She wants me to write a summary of what i think about my performance. i feel if i worked more often i would have learned much more at a faster rate. But she thinks i should have known alot more than i have. What could i say? thank you for your feedback.

  • Talking about yourself to others?

When I go out or meet people, even at work in casual conversations, I find that people like to talk about themselves. Not that its a bad thing, I enjoy listening to other people talk about themselves. But I don;t find myself talking about myself much. I know that people can take it over board and such. But do girls like it when you talk about yourself? I'd rather ask questions about the other person and relate to their side of the subjects they are talking about. Its rare that someone wants to find out about myself. How could you make yourself interesting to others?

  • Is your family perfect?

I want to know what your problems are.. No one has the perfect life.. Here's mine, I am 42, 3 boys, live with their over protective grandmother, mom is in prison and I have no control over their lives. I work 2 jobs, Live at home, no girlfriend , and live paycheck to paycheck . I don't drink or smoke. I try to be a good dad, I never treat them bad, but at their age , (21-20 & 16) they don't want to hang with dad anymore. I do pay my bills and my mom for rent. I want a girlfriend, but I have too much baggage at my age, and other women my age have problems too, but mine seem worse for some reason. I can't afford a lawyer to get my boys, their mom just went to prison recently got a year. She signed them over to the grandma. Perhaps I'm boo-hoo-ing over nothing. I feel i don't have control of my life.

    What's your life like?

I'll take criticism too, if your life is so perfect.

    Thanks...

  • Feeling guilty after getting my vehicle fixed ?

I just bought a 2001 Toyota 4 runner with 183,000 miles in great condition from the original owner. It runs great but when I got an oil change, the auto shop did and inspection and turns out the timing chain needed to be changed and the brake rotors were unfixable.

Among with a few leaks. It cost $1200 to fix it. I had enough to cover it and still have a money left over. Was it a good move to fix it because of the high mileage to ensure nothing happens in the future. I feel I was investing into my purchase. But I feel guilty now. I bought it for $5950.

  • Are my sons going thru a phase?

I am a single 41 year old father with 3 sons who live with their grandmother (20,19 & 16) Mom is in jail, don't have the money for custody suit. I give them money whenever they need it and help the grandmother out tremendously. Anytime I have a day off (working 2 jobs) I cannot get either of my sons to do anything with me or just to hang out. We are all on good terms, and always have been. I always praise them, and treat like a loving father should. It hurts me to not have them with me when I am able to do so. Usually every weekend I'm off. They are good kids. , no drug or alcohol use. I am clean as well. I ask them what they want to do, but it's always a 'nah, it's ok, or I'm busy' should I quit worrying so much? Is this a phase young men/ teens goes thru? I'm hurting inside, so please be nice and helpful. Thx..:)

  • my son was dropped out of school and?

NOT looking for critism here. Just the facts. I am a single father with a 16 year old son that lives with his grandmother but she cannot enforce him to go to school all of the time. If he lived with me this would not happen. His mother died a year ago was already living with grandma. the school switched him to evening classes but never notified the day teachers of his changing class schedule and marked him absent thus dropping him out even though he attended all of his evening classes. So now what can i do to get him back into school? what kind of school can i get him in? what are some options to continue his schooling?

  • would a letter of apology be wise?

The Ultimate in Humility here...I work at a golf course and while I was heading back to the pro shop after I was done playing..I hit a low tree trunk while waving to another employee. I hit the tree and the cart did a wheelie and bent back the roof arch support on the passenger side and scraped the roof as well. I was so embarrassed. I immediately went to the Director of the golf course and told him what I did. He wasn't mad and thanked me for telling him as I told him I would pay for the damages. He said he would call me back and let me know after a call to the dealer. I know this will cost me several hundred dollars to fix. I am prepared to do so. I just don;t want to lose my job. I am a great reliable employee and am never late and go in everytime on short notice when needed. I wonder if a letter of apology would be appropriate? I just feel so humiliated by the whole thing
