my son was dropped out of school and?

NOT looking for critism here. Just the facts. I am a single father with a 16 year old son that lives with his grandmother but she cannot enforce him to go to school all of the time. If he lived with me this would not happen. His mother died a year ago was already living with grandma. the school switched him to evening classes but never notified the day teachers of his changing class schedule and marked him absent thus dropping him out even though he attended all of his evening classes. So now what can i do to get him back into school? what kind of school can i get him in? what are some options to continue his schooling?

Not sure why you couldn't think of this yourself but why can't YOU as his father take his report card, or transcripts to the school and show that he's been attending night classes. Also, if his grandmother can't control him or manage his school progress, maybe he has no business living with her. Why don't YOU take custody of your son and guide him correctly. He sounds like he needs it, yet none of the adults in his life has a clue on what to do to help him. Poor kid.
