    Simple Rule to remember...

As you work out your body needs fuel...

#1 it will use body fat for fuel if its empty

or #2 it will use what you just put into it....

So, Protein is fine to drink anytime, before during after..

After a hard workout the body can and often does continue burning fat for an hour so if your on a diet I would recommend NOT EATING after wards for an hour..

Drink your shake...chill for about 20 mins before you start your workout...only after a decent protein meal though...chicken, rice, potatoes, fish...get fat on your food, boost it with your shake and then give 'er....if you plan on working out heavy....if your wokout is lite, eat more meal, have half a shake....remember to be moderate and don't kill yourself...vary your workout everyday...muscles are like your mind...they'll only remember what they know...if you do the same workout every other day with the same body parts, your body will only remember what you did the previous day..It doesn't matter if you do upper one day, lower next day, etc....If all you do is that routine, that's all your muscles will remember...vary your routine.. If you are doing biceps, triceps, chest and abs one day....legs and waist the other day...mix it up...try legs and chest one day, the rest of the body the next day....add variances every week.....stay true to your core workouts, but mix in exercises that you had planned for the next day into the routine for a different day....if all you want is tone as opposed to mass, you can lightly do everything everyday...be prepared for the pain though...pretty soon, you won't be drinking protein shakes....Good Luck Dude!
