Is it feasible to fully convert GB to grams and metres?

Update:

r1b1c: I did write grams because it's a well known metric measurement. I did not write meters because we are not discussing measuring devices but a distance, hence metres.

Update 2:

It was John Wilkins (English) who proposed the metric system.

Sure but the British people probably just don't care to. Great Britain is much more integrated into the metric system than the US. The fact that pounds, inches and stone have survive shows that the imperial units are more than just a measuring system but also something cultural.

In rural French markets you will often see prices for livres (pounds). If the French who invented the metric system still haven't let go of their fondness for the old measurements, I reckon we're going to be using pounds and ounces, feet and inches, etc, for some time yet!

    What is GB?

Also, by "grams and meters" did you mean the metric system?

Nope - we have never liked it because the Imperial system's measurements are more useful measures in terms of guestimations. I don't think it is likely we will change.
