when should i plant these seeds?
i live in southern CA and i have seen so many hollyhocks blooming right now..i wanted to know when i should plant the seeds so i can have those beautiful flowers in my backyard! im a novice at this! thanks!

As they are biennial, you can seed them right now, but they will bloom next summer. Once you have established them, you'll see that they will seed themselves. I only planted seeds 3 years ago, when I bought the house. But now they're in bloom again :-) Maybe you can find some potted flowers at your local garden centre, so you can enjoy them now.
