The least amount of points you can have is 0 and that's if you actually plan it (it can get very hard with the 1 point per day thing). At that level you have all the same limits as a level one except you can't answer at all. Also if you receive a violation for an answer you can't lose any points at all.
Also if you have between 1-4 points and try to ask a question it will not work since you don't have 5 points and points don't go negative.

Point can not be less than zero. When people are getting zero point, then they have level zero. They can participate just to increase points.

You can do anything except ask a question until you increase your points.
