Freedom of Religion = Freedom from Religion. Can't you understand the concept?

Actually, your vice principal is prohibited by federal law FROM forbidding you to bring a Bible to school. You can pray at school whenever you wish. Federal law prohibits the school from MAKING kids pray. Your vice principal could lose his/her job for entering into the equation in either fashion.

Students and teachers can pray to their hearts' content. However, having an organized, formal display starts to cross into the area of separation of church and state. For example, I'm a pagan. At my school, it is mandated that everyone pray for 5 minutes in the morning to the spirits of education to grant us sound minds and good studying.
Christians wouldn't like that. Neither would Muslims. It would be forcing my religious beliefs on those that already have their own system, favoring mine at the cost of others. Therefore, to be fair to all, such mandates are supposed to be illegal, save for private institutions such as Catholic schools.

The ENTIRE point of that law was to stop the govt from forcing people to adhere to one religion and letting the religious leaders control the govt i.e. Islam; and it was meant to stop the govt from outlawing religion i.e. communist Russia.
The freedom of religion has been skewed and misinterpreted to mean that anything having to do with the govt can't reference religion i.e. ten commandments being shown on courthouses and christmas trees in federal building.
The community should be able to decide if there is prayer in their schools not the federal govt. Due to the misinterpretation the govt has more control over religion than it was meant to.

People CAN pray in schools, the teachers are just not allowed to lead you in prayer because they are slaves of the State.

You can pray in school whenever you want. You just can't force others to join you or distract from the learning process.
Did you even read the links you posted? The second one has nothing whatsoever to do with school prayer.

You can pray in schools -- go right ahead, pray away.
What can't happen is for the school employees or leaders to lead a prayer or require it. Because that would be government (schools are government entities) establishing a religion. Get it?
Peace.

unfastened exercising ability no person can avert you from working in direction of your faith on your man or woman TIME. If a instructor leads the class in a prayer, it somewhat is a conventional modification violation by using fact that is implementing one faith on a team of scholars who could be from distinctive backgrounds. If a pupil desires to declare a silent prayer before ingesting lunch, i do no longer think of all of us is making an attempt to dodge that, yet prepared prayer in a school room has no place in public faculties. in case you desire your infants to get a Christian education, deliver them to a Christian college.

You can pray all you want in school, just not out loud. Trust me, before every test, there are thousands of prayers going up, even if it isn't to a specific God.
