How do I prevent overnight leaks?

My son (6-1/2 months old; 19-20 pounds; 28-29 inches) has started having leaky diapers at night. We use the Flip cloth diaper system during the day, but have been using disposables at night just to use them up. Since his diapers started leaking, I have tried:

Flips with two inserts

Size 3 disposables

Size 4 disposables

The leaks are coming out at the waist (not the leg) on one side. It started when he started rolling around a lot during the night--he has been sleeping on the same side he's leaking from.

Any suggestions for how I can prevent this? I'm getting tired of having to change his clothes before we sit down for his morning b00b. He sleeps through the night, so a midnight diaper change isn't the answer.

Update:

Hmm... Hubby picked up Size 4 Huggies yesterday. That might be the problem. Not his fault--limited selection at our neighborhood store. Maybe I'll get some Pampers Size 4 Overnights this weekend and send the Huggies to day care.

I use cloth during the day and size 4 pampers for overnight. My son is 21lbs. Not sure how long was 26.5" 6 weeks ago. The pampers last from about 7pm til 8am. Make sure you point his "little man" down.

For me, the Huggies Overnights have Mickey Mouse on them. My son is under 28 lbs wears a size 5 but I have to put a Poise pad in his diaper to stop leaks during the night. I could probably use a regular size 5 diaper instead of the Overnights but that is just what I have right now. I've had a hard time finding what prevents leaks during the night for this little man.

Make sure the last thing you do before his bedtime is change his diaper. Try double diapering - you may need to poke a few holes in the inside diaper to let the urine through. Go up a diaper size. If you use an offbrand diaper try switching to a name brand - it'll hold more.

Luvs are the best I used them with all 3 of mine and they never leaked I changed them right before bed and if they woke up during the night and of course right away in the morning when they woke up with his weight I would say he needs a size 3 maybe a 4 also luvs are not as expensive as pampers and huggies

If your son can wear a size 3 or 4, buy size 3 or 4 overnight diapers. They are much thicker and can hold a lot more. Normal diapers rarely are enough to work overnight once your child is older... older babies just drink more fluids so naturally they pee more.

Don't use huggies, they always leak at night, pampers are great "night time" diapers, just pull them forward more at night since that's where the leak is coming from

I use thirsties diapers with prefolds. You can double up at night and shove 2 prefolds in there. Or even get a slightly oversized cover and put in 3 prefolds.
