My Itch 2 yr old (HELP)?
My son keeps scratching his penis, it is very irritated. I have tried vaseline,neosporin, diaper rash cream ointment even let him walk around with out a diaper. and yes he takes bath he is not a dirty baby so please no rude comments anyone have any suggestion he don't go to the doctor until next week and I don't want to see him uncomfortable until then. can someone anyone give me some good advice aout what I can do until then. Consider your laundry detergent or the soap you bathe him with, it may be too strong for his skin and is causing an allergic reaction. Try over the counter hydro-cortisone cream and if that doesn't help try some anti-fungal cream like miconazole. It's summer and and diapers tend to hold in heat and heat promotes fungal growth, in babies it looks red and angry and shiny and will have a distinctive smell.

Try to put cream, or shea butter to make the penis smoother.. Maybe you could let your son stay in the water for a while, and then put on him some powder. Try to see if there is an insect that attacked the area that is hurting him..

Sounds like fungus. Get some nice anti-fungal body powder to sprinkle down there (I like California Baby, but there are others). Make sure they're okay for private areas. My 2 year old daughter gets yeast a lot and this really helps.

That could be a urinary infection. You should take him to a doctor as soon as possible.
