realistically, how long does it take to claen an AC condensor and evaporator coil?

Went and did a side job (used to work in AC) cleaned guys single pass evap (wasn't even very dirty) with a vacuum and some degreaser and brass bristle brush. Then went out cleaned cond coil with hose also very clean and the guy gave me 80 bucks. He said the other guy contacted said it would take 4 hours and 200 bucks. I worked in AC for the military so have no idea how much they charge. I didn't feel like ripping the guy off.

4 hours is estimate. Must also pay for travel time. Most likely 50 an hour labor rate. For you to do this for 80 is a good deal for the both of you. Just hope you looked over the system and told him of anything that did not look right so that he can plan on a repair or know if someone else he calls tells him a story.

you have a robust fare fee at $3600. have not you spotted that over the final 9 years many stuff have risen in fee? the cost of steel, copper, hard paintings, overhead, refrigerants and approximately something you are able to think of of. upload to that the recent federal regulations for minimum performance and that's what makes this a common fee. 25 years in the past i offered a clean automobile fortress $3700. Now a automobile in that length selection might run $22,000. certainty bites would not it!
