well first off is he showing any signs of a sick ferret? Is he sleeping more than usual? Is he lethargic? is he eating, drinking and pooping as usual? If he is acting healthy then I would not be overly concerned. Sometimes ferrets calm down when they get older. He may be calming down now that hes a little older. However, if you would be able to afford another ferret and provide proper care for it, it may be a good idea to get another! Ferrets are social creatures and LOVE to have other ferrets to play with. My ferret Bailey became very calm when he was about a year old. I thought he was lonely so i got another ferret! now i have Bailey and Bandit.. ever since I got Bandit , Bailey has been VERY playful and eh is very happy to have a companion. I think your ferret would enjoy having another ferret friend :) good luck! I hope I helped

Ferrets are just extremly exploratory and curious about EVERYTHING. When I had a ferret he was NEVER not once interested in playing with me. He just wanted to romp through the house, checking stuff out, and turning over all the trash cans.

If you have two.. Then you'll just have two that do that.. Instead of two that want to play with you constantly. Its the ferret way >< lol
