How do you caulk in narrow spaces?

I am trying to caulk around the trim in our bedroom to get it ready for paint. But I'm having a hard time figuring out how to caulk in this small space where I can't see nor can I fit the caulking gun. It's slightly less than an inch wide and where the door is close to the adjacent wall.

Any tips and pointers will be welcome...

Since a caulk gun won't fit, then you can try a smaller squeeze tube of caulk that you can get at home depot or lowes. DAP makes an alex plus paintable caulk used for interior and exterior apllications that comes in smaller squeeze tubes. If that doesn't work then you will have to apply small amounts of caulk to your finger and smear it in around the trim.

If you can't see it and the caulking gun won't fit don't worry about it!

if you can feel it, put some on your finger and smear it back there
