Please help,i am concerned about my pregnancy!?

It's been 7 weeks and 3 days since your last period, that's how you calculate how far along you are. But when you talk about how far along you are, you go by when you had your last period - not the actual date of conception (this date is really hard to calculate, that's why doctor's don't use it). Your baby would have been conceived around 2 weeks after that date - which would pin your baby's actual age around 5 weeks 3 days, give or take. Your baby's size sounds spot on for the conception age!

based on American Pregnancy Association pregnancy calculator. so i think your doc is spot on with your baby's age.

HI Meera explained it very well technically. Trust me it is confusing all along. I am 27 weeks along (or so the book says), the baby grows above average (2 weeks consistently out) and my dates don't make sense either. The only thing you should be worried about is that your baby is healthy and growing! Use a calculator (like the one meera listed) and other than that just enjoy it!

Your last period was 5/2/2010.. Pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last period (doesn't make sense to you in the beginning but this is how its done medically)

so.. if you use this calculator http://www.baby2see.com/timeline.html you will see that you are pregnant 7 weeks today.

The size of your baby as determined by the ultrasound does not indicate the age of your baby.. it just means that usually at this size, the babies are 5weeks 6days old.. but its too early now to wonder if your baby is small or big.. that's more important later on :)

Just relax..its confusing but u will get used to it.
