Disc won't burn from my iTunes?

I am trying to burn a playlist onto a cd, in my itunes, and it won't work. The error prompt says:

"Disc Burner or software not found" I put in a data disc, and still, the same prompt. I know I have burned a disc in the last few months from this very same pc, so what gives? How else can I email this music to a friend, who would be able to burn this playlist for me?

I'm not very "digital files" savvy, so any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.
