My Hair Metal band of the day (Take 13)?

Some of the better memories I have of growing up in the 80s was camping out for concert tickets. It was always a great way to meet people with similar music tastes and someone always brought a stereo and it one of the best ways to check out new music, it always seemed that everyone was trying to be the first to discover a new band so there was always something new to check out. It is times such as those that helped give heavy metal its culture. (which is something that I feel is lacking today)

One of the bands that I discovered on such a "camping" trip was Junkyard. They infused elements of southern rock and blues with their own brand of L.A. sleaze metal. Their no-frills approach to their music, where the music mattered more than image, should have made them a household name. but as with many bands from the era, they failed to have much in the way of commercial success.

MQ: the first song reminds me a lot of Motley Crue (who were the first band I've ever seen in concert)

The instrumentals are very good, great solos, especially in the intro to the second song, the first song had some great riffs, but the vocals sounded kinda wimpy for a lack of a better word. Misery Loves company had better vocals, but it sounded a little too bluesy for my taste. back with the Motley Crue sound for Life Sentence, but this time with a bit of a punk sound in the vocals, I like it. Texas sounded way too ZZ Top for me.

MQ2: no, there's only one band that I actually would camp out for tickets, and fortunately for me, they're so unknown here that I wouldn't need to (Versailles)

BQ: French Fries... you just can't make poutine with onion rings

I have got to believe the above reply, besides for the Metallica aspect. They might be larger in the event that they pulled their heads outta their bums and performed their ancient song, however they don't seem to be hair steel so they do not rely on this catagory.....
