Why hasn't Jesus returned?

Could it be because when he decided it was time, he looked around and saw that science had advanced so far that his "miracles" could easily be duplicated with ease, and that mankind had evolved far beyond his simple tricks? So he decided to just skip the whole idea?

Update:

thumbs up for Watches you pee, got proof, Shimon, and Aviad. for various reasons

Update 2:

Was he just dead or was he dead dead? How do we know he was not just in a deep coma or meditative state?

**If** we go on the premise that there is this "second coming of Christ" fairy tale, I'm guessing that the answer is:

There's a much better experiment of much greater interest going on in some other little "Cosmic petri dish" somewhere else in the multiverse...and he just can't be arsed with us boring little creatures.

You must tell me what scientific discovery can resurrect a man after being dead for three days. Or that can instantly cure people of disease on touch. Not to mention save men from sin. Because I seem to have missed hearing or reading about them.

Perhaps Jesus will return when God decides it is time and not before then.

So, when has science been able to raise a man several days dead?

    John 19:34 (King James Version)

34But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

If He was still alive when the spear pierced his side, there would not have been a seperation

How can something return that was never there in the first place?

Jesus is just the latest name of the dying-and-resurrecting godman myth taken from the Gnostics and the Mystery Religions.

What makes you so sure he hasn't? As for the he realized his miracles could be easily duplicated... the Bible says he wont be using physical miracles to prove himself in his second coming because the Devil will be given power to use miracles to decieve.

Because he is dead over 2000 years? There is not even any dust left of him.

He said he'd come back before the disciples were dead. They probably shouldn't have put that one in writing...

    Can't get a cab.

Sure, laugh. But if you were nailed to a cross and wearing only a tiny loincloth, you think you could get a cab to pick you up? Doubtful.

  • It's because may of the Biblical signs have yet to happen. the temple in Jerusalem hasn't been rebuilt
