What is your opinion about the turtle story?

Here's the link: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Tiny-turtl%E2%80%A6

Me personallly, as small as the turtle is I would think common sense would prevail in that it's a tiny turtle, toy size and aside from the possibility the turtle gets loose or lost on the plane, this should really be a non issue, it's not a dog or a cat or some animal that would be wondering the plane, it's a turtle, a tiny turtle in a cage.

Anyways, everyone elses opinion?

i think that it is kind of stupid that they couldnt let a turtle smaller than someones hand on a plane! They could've let it slide once instead of making all of those people late just for a little turtle!

Arrant speciesism! That airline allows cats, dogs, and birds in the cabin. Why should turtles be banned? Cat and dog dander pose more of a risk to other passengers than a turtle would. I was happy to hear that the girls' father eventually recovered the turtle for them.

That was Pretty ridiculous, Im mean, cmon, it's a tiny turtle, it's not gonna kill anyone, honestly, they should have less restrictions. They should have let the turtle go on the plane. :D

It's ridiculous that a. they did not allow the turtle on the plane and b. that they threw it in the trash. It's a freaking ANIMAL not a toy. They were clearly irresponsible and did not deserve to have such a high-mantinence pet.

It should have been allowed on the flight without and charge and harm, instead of making a big issue about it and delaying the flight etc. It is so small that it can't even harm any one. The air lines just wanted to be in the news
