Tips for playing classic Risk?

Yep, I try to start by taking over Australia. I load up my perimeter (territories bordering opponents territories) and leave the minimum number of armies in protected territories. Then I just try to move as a wave. I try not to get too spread out because you can be attacked from too many places.

If you are playing more than 2 players, look for weak opponents that are about to lose their last armies. Attack them and try to eliminate them so you get the cards (which also keeps your opponents from getting them.) But you have to be careful with this. If you beat most armies, but leave only 1 or 2, another opponent can eliminate them and get the cards. I usually don't attack, to eliminate an opponent, unless I'm pretty sure i can win.

EDIT- One more strategy move I like to use if possible, I try not to turn in my cards until I have to. I wait for somebody else to turn them in first because the armies given increase for every set of cards turn in. Think it starts with 4 then increases by 2 or 4 each time (I don't remember for sure.) but if you are able to turn in your cards and get 4, then try to wait one more turn (if possible) and somebody else will probably turn thiers in before it's your turn again. Then you will get more armies. Of course if for some reason you are getting close to being eliminated or close to having your opponent break through your perimeter, then get those armies and build up the needed areas.

sup, i also love this game, but do you have any tips on beating the campaign im stuck on level 4/5. the computer always seems to gang up on me. and i know level 5/5 is gonna be even more a bizzznatch to beat.
