i'm worried about my chinchilla and i dont know if i should be?
kay well i just got her last night and so today i took her in the bathroom cause she seemed to want to get out of her cage so i went in the bathroom along with her to play. anyways she started just lying down on the floor randomly and then when i'd go over to her she'd be energetic again. but she kept doing that so does that mean anything bad?
another thing. i have this clear little plastic box that she sleeps in but she's been going outside of the box and pushing it to the side and squeezing into the corner of the cage and the plastic box. is this a security thing that she wants or is this bad?
i'm going to get her a nice place you can't see through soon though

It's stress. You need to give her time to get used to her surroundings, before you take her to new places (like the bath room). Chins don't really care for change. You should leave her in her cage and allow her to get used to things for a week or two before all this other nonsense.

to answer your first question:
when an animal has a change of environment, it is best to leave them in their cage for about 2-3 days, disturbing them little as possible. Please just let her be for a while. Then you can open the cage door and if she comes out, play with her a bit. Keep things short and sweet for the first week.
Second of all:
She may not like sleeping in a clear box, as it may not be dark enough for her. Try something that gives her a bit more security, something darker.
