Breach in Employment Contract, Grounds for Law Suit?
My Sister was recently offered a job at a nursing home as a nurses aid, Full time benifits. She accepted the offer, and the employer asked for her paper work, drug tests, ect. Take note she was offered the job, and took it. After weeks of calling the employer to see when she started, the employer was too busy to answer calls, ect. After NO response the employer sends a letter in the mail, its a notice of how She was considered for the job and that she is not qualified enough. We are contacting an attorney to see if this is grounds for a law suit. She also quit her old job to work for the employer. I believe that the letter makes out that she was never offered the job, woulod this be a breach in contract, sicne she was OFFERED the job, and the lady said she would return her call to when she could start (she accepted my sisters paperwork) We are goign to sue for loss of wages, does this sound liek enought grounds? (My sister has proof of her hiring, by copies the employer gave her)
Uhh did i think of it all by myself? lol ur cool kid, did u graduate high school yet? She was offered teh job she took it, the employer told her to give her other job two weeks notice. Also the employer filled out her paperwork for the position she was supposed to cal her for her orientation. Sounds like both of you should actually learn about Law. Lawyer is already drawing up the paperwork, obviously you two know loads about things.

if you are in the US you have NOTHING to sue for .......
of course you can sue... can you afford to throw the money away that it will cost ?
and did you think this up all by yourself or did your sister help?
EDIT:
a lawyer "drawing up the paperwork" has NO bearing on if you can sue and win anything... if you are in the US (which you never answered) there is NOTHING to sue for and win in this post........
many attorneys will gladly take your money and file papers, regardless of if you have a claim that can be won.
if you actually had an attorney (which is questionable) you should be asking all these questions of her/him........
the "opinions" of us "kids" that don't know anything should not have even been asked for......

No, your sister has no grounds for a lawsuit.
Why would your sister quit her job without an actual start date scheduled?
