Pregnancy after being on mirena??? HELP??? Advice and stories?

I plan to have my Mirena taken our in the future and becoming pregnant again. Is there anything different after being on mirena? Does it cause higher chance of twins? How long does it take to have a period after having your mirana removed and how long until you ovulate? If you could share any experiences you have had I would love to hear them. I will say I have loved my experience with Mirena I will defenatley get it again after the birth of my next child.. But until then I'd like to hear stories :)..

Hi hun and good luck on trying to get pregnant. I recently had my Mirena taken out and by the way I loved it. So far nothing is different except I did have my pap smear and it came back abnormal which after all the blood test they could do nothing showed up. So they plan on doing another pap smear about 8 weeks after I deliver since they cant do the camera thing and biopsy (sorry I cant remember the name of the procedure) I got pregnant the night my mirena came out according to our doctors, they told me I would come back to ovulate very soon and I guess I did. I did get my period about a month later and then another one another month later but I already have 3 children and I had my period for the first three months with all three of them. I do wish you the best of luck :)

After I had my son I had the IUD I had it taken out in september and after that i started having my periods every 2 months, However even with a strange cycle, I ended up getting pregnant 8 months after having it removed. I had my first period the day i got it removed, and like i said every 2 months after that! I don't think you would have a higher chance to conceive twins but hey who know! good luck!
