I'm looking for info on N. Norman Ltd. furniture of London. Can anyone out there help?
I just recently purchased an old armoire that was made by this company. Apparently they're no longer in business as I can't seem to find any info on them. I'm curious to know how old this piece is and if this company no longer exists, how long ago they shut down.

You can search on Companies House they hold all info about business in the UK.....I think you can search the webcheck section and this will tell you when the company shut down - just not sure if they give you anymore info than that unless you are prepared to pay for more detailed documentation.

I worked for N. Norman in 1974 when I started work. They were established in 1901 in Hoxton, East London.
When I worked for them they had moved to Tottenham, Markfield Road. they ran for three generations. I am not sure when they closed but I think it would have been mid to late 1980's Another furniture maker Lexertons had part of their factory.
