Facial piercings- nose or lip?

Question

I really don't like the idea of getting a piercing on my face, but at the same time I would love to have one.  I doubt I'll get one, but I still think about it sometimes.  I've been told that I would look good with a nose piercing because I have a small button-like nose, but I feel that it would get irritated because of sneezing... I'm not sure if that happens, but it seems like it would.

I am more interested in lip piercings though, a small stud on the bottom, but I feel that this can be frowned upon by many.  I always see people fidgeting with their lip piercings, and it makes sense for me because I am one of those people who don't sit still and I am always doodling or playing with something to a point of annoyance.

So, my question is, which piercing do you think is better?  Even if you HATE facial piercings and you want to punch people who have them- if you had to decide, which one would you pick?  

And I know some people might say "Piercings are trashy/dumb" and that is your opinion, but try to keep an open mind! :)

I think she would be against it because it's in your lip. Even though a nose piercing is too a facial piercing, nose piercings are very common and can easily be hid with a small stud, I guess. 1. It depends how high/low your pain threshold is. It shouldn't hurt that much though. 2. Little swelling for a couple of days. It depends on how your body takes it (I know many people that have had their nose pierced). 3. Sea Salt Solution. Just buy some Sea Salt and put half a tablespoon of it into half a cup of hot water. Use a cotton bud to soak your piercing hole in it (both sides) once a day. 4. Needle, definitely! A gun can shatter the cartilage!! Hope this helped :)

I love the idea of getting facial piercings, but at the same time, I'm really afraid of scarring. So I would pick a piercing that wouldn't look gross if you scarred it - say, an eyebrow.
If you're not too enthusiastic about that, I would say the nose. I'd really hate to go around sans the piercing but with an ugly scar, if it went badly. 

Just my opinion.

I don't particularly "like" facial piercings, but I think definitely a lip. I have never looked at a nose pirecing and though, "That's cute.". However, I have seen lip piercings that I though were hot! I'm pretty conservative, too.

I have both, but my lip one is a monroe which is above the left upper lip. I use a labret stud with a flat disk that goes inside the mouth. This way it doesn't irritate the gums.
