I have a sneezing guinea pig.?

My guinea pig is about 6 weeks old, and yesterday we introduced yellow squash and zucchini. Since then she has started sneezing. She doesn't have the symptoms of a cold, or upper respiratory infection, and her bedding has been the same since we got her, as well as her food, ect. She has a good diet consisting of Gerty Guinea Pig Food (she doesn't eat the pieces inside of the bag that look like cat food, so we take them out.), various fruits and vegetables (Apples - different types, celery, kale, parsley, a limited amount of carrots, ect). BUT--- It went from being 90* F here (we kept her in the cool basement so she wouldn't suffer from heat stroke), to around 69* F in less than 24 hours. So we brought her up from the basement.. Could that have been too much of a temperature fluctuation to make her sneeze like that?

Please don't tell me to take her to the vet.

Update:

I will definitely try that, thanks.

1 guinea pigs are prey animals and will hide the fact they are ill until it reached the acute stage, this is how they survive in the wild, however, it makes it difficult to get them medical care as pets.

The change in temperature and dampness of the air can give them an upper respiratory infection very easily.

At 3 weeks old i found my Hoshi in the pet store with just a tad of gunk in the corners of his eyes and recognized it to possibly be the begging of an upper respiratory infection. by the next morning he was sneezing which went to several times a day, however, he was happy, playing eating and drinking. He was always pop-corning, and sneezing. I took him to an exotic vet and she put him on antibiotic at once and quarantined him form the rest of the pigs, The poor baby took 8 weeks and one change in antibiotics to get well.So with all of this in mind i wish you would take it to an exotic vet.

I don't think your guinea pig needs the vet. The temperature might have been a little too chilly for her and she might have picked up a cold. but if that is the only issue then recommended trying to keep the temperature more regulated for her. When I had a guinea pig it sneezed from the bedding we used. Even though you have been using that bedding for awhile it can develop allergies over time. If regulating her temperature doesn't stop the sneezing then i'd say try switching bedding.
