Stand naked in front of it, it will remain turned on.
Now, to the real problem...
1) You might have boot virus. You'll have to re-install windows to fix this, formatting won't work.
2) The power switch to which your computer is connected might be faulty, or, you might be getting too many voltage fluctuations(if you don't a UPS).
3) RAM/ Lan Card, etc. might have been damaged.
4) If standing naked doesn't work, you might not be hot enough for it.
Edit: Panties would make the cooler get hot which would, in turn, over-heat your computer. So, my advice would be to just stand naked and tease it, so, it would stay turned on.

A lot of things could be wrong.
1) Poor SMPS. The power supplying part of the computer. It might be insufficient for the computer. Did you recently upgrade the computer? Added an extra Graphics Card or something?
2) Moisture on the RAM sticks. Open up the CPU cabinet, take out the RAM sticks and see if there's some stuff settled on it.
3) Hard disk error. When your computer is finally switched on, check for physical errors on your hard disk.
If the problem occurs right at the start-up, i don't really think it is a virus problem, but i could be wrong.

Standing naked in front of it might damage the computer even more (it could burn from the hotness). And if the computer is less than 16 years old, it would also amount to computer abuse. It's a serious offense.

I won't report you on one condition. :D

It might actually be a CPU fan malfunction... If the CPU fan isn't at full power, or isn't working at all, the computer will shut off without warning. It could be an overheating issue as well (related to the above), make sure the computer isn't stuffed into a corner or placed next to a heat source.

When mine did that, it was because the plug wasn't in the socket properly!
It could also be a virus. We had to take this PC into the ICT guys last week, all because I clicked something by accident and it snuck in :(

Ya could have a virus...your monitor could be dying and so you're getting screen-flicker, or if your computer is physically turning off and on, it could be a host of hardware issues...

your fan is going out, its over heating. mine did that too for several months, getting worse and worse. take your computer out and watch the fan when you turn it on, mine would slow down then speed up. theyre not expensive and if you wear a low cut blouse, the guy in the store will change it out for free.

MOst likely a virus but it could be a faulty power supply.

Maybe you have some missing DDLs on your computer or suffering from a hacker attack.
Advice: Try updating your windows files or clean it at all ! it's better.
