Having a talk with a ten year old.?
i have to talk to my ten year old cousin about how to make friends and interact more with the family. what should i say to her? because every time people are hanging out without her she automatically assumes that we don't like her but she isn't making an effort to include herself.

Why aren't the others trying to include your ten year old cousin? Why does the burden of inclusion have to fall on her? Not everyone (including me) enjoys entering a group of people (even relatives) if they are already laughing and talking as a group. I find it very difficult to drop my shyness and join in. Perhaps your cousin is the same way.

1) To make friends, you have to be nice, friendly and don't assume stuff.
2) To have good friends, you need to be a good friend to them - you always treat others how you want to be treated.
3) You always need to make the frist move. If someone doesn't respond, just assume something is going on with them.

Well im her age and im VERY social with my family ( even tho one doesn't speak english! )
You all should tell her you love her because she doesn't know!
You should hang out with her to make her feel ... safe
