Do the Reds have the talent to win the NL Central?
Pretty straightforward question - are they a first-half wonder, or can they stick it out for the long haul and challenge the Cardinals for the division title? Why or why not?

i think they can stick it out. here's why:
-joey votto is a star. hands down the most underrated player in baseball
-scott rolen provides leadership, a righty power and contact bat, a great glove, and hard work
-aroldis chapman, edinson volquez, and travis wood all coming in to the rotation would be superb
-they have had no major injuries
-people tend to take them lightly
-no true weaknesses
-young talent like bruce, stubbs, votto, juan francisco (he's a stud just wait), and chapman
-amazing prospects like aroldis chapman, yonder alonso, juan francisco, chris valaika, matt maloney, mike leake, etcetera
i am a reds fan so i may be biased, but i think this may finally be our year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes they do. Taken from a Phillies fan, they remind me of the Phillies. Joey Votto is having an excellent year and is a star first basemen, I hate Scott Rolen but he has become a fearful hitter again. They have a good lineup and an average but good rotation. They don't quit and the Cardinals are really not that good, they have three great starters in their rotation but their offense is overrated. Something is missing from the Cardinals that I can't pinpoint, but I think the Reds have a legit chance at the Central.

Yes, Why? Edinson Volquez
Volquez has been lights out in his rehab starts in Triple-A, good enough to bring him up in Cincy much earlier than expected, with his presence in the rotation makes the Reds alot better. They are going to trade for some relief in the pen which will cut down their losses. Their young hitters are starting to emerge and their stars arent slowing down. And the Cards haven't been good and just don't look good. They aren't a first half wonder, they weren't supposed to be doing this until next year but idk. Over the past few years, they always to good in the second half, just not after the all-star break, I mean like a week after the ASG they slump, but then they go crazy.

They have the talent, and catching all of us off guard might even win the NL Central ,wont that be something. Go figure. Maybe the Pirates will have a winning season this century and compete too.

i think the reds are playing great ball this far, i do hope the reds continue to play great ball & win games, but i do think the cardinals will win the central division, hopefully the reds will win the wildcard spot, i would like to see the reds in the playoffs & championship games, if not this year than next year the reds will be there.

Yes because I predicted them to do so and more at the beginning of the season. I didn't do it formally, just talking with a few friends. But I was NOT joking. I thought the team could be the cinderella team this year. If they win the World Series, I think I may have made one of the best predictions known to man kind!

Yes, they do. Also, in their division, they won't get much competition from anyone else other than the Cardinals, no other team in that division can be taken seriously this year.
