GM 3800 series 2 engine problem?
i have a 96 Buick riviera with 160,000 miles on it. it has the 3800 series 2 supercharged engine in it. my problem is that when i go to throttle it up it has hesitation for a few seconds also has shuttering at times when i let off the gas. from what i know the intake gaskets suck on these engines but im not burning any coolant. Im not sure what is wrong with it didn't know if any one knew what could be wrong

The intake gaskets do suck but usaully dont have any driveability symptoms when they go, usaully coolant in the oil kinda thing. Thing to do is check for codes, most times will lead you to the prob. On these engines the crank sensor is very very common but most times cause a no start condition but I have seen this prob from them. Im willing to bet you just misfiring or rather the ignition wires are arching out and worn. I would start it up and spray water on the wires with a spray bottle, look for arching, power brake it and if its wores change the plugs and wires. Look around the coils also for any arching. these crack and go bad too
