I want to go to college for History.?

If you are going to get your history degree get a teaching certificate also. It is almost impossible to find a well paying job with a bachelors degree in history. Usually, museums and historic towns hirer curators who poses a PHD or a masters degree in history. Choose a major that is always in high demand such as teaching, nursing, social work, or business. It may not be exactly the type of degree you want to have, but at least it will enable you to get a job. You can always minor in history. I hope this helps! Good luck in school!

i have a friend who got his bachelors in history. he work at home depot. if history is truly your passion get your masters in history. but if with a bachelors in history you can get a job in a bank or a accounting office. with some majors (like history, theatre, english, and philosophy i.e. the "useless" degrees. you will need to go to grad school. but some employers simply look at the fact that you have a BA.

Most people go into teaching. It depends also whether you want to go to graduate school after or not. I've also considered majoring in history, and asked some similar questions on here to yours.
