Does anyone know anything about automobile electronics repair?
The power outlet (alternative cigarette lighter) in my car doesnt work and it is very important that i have a means to charge my phone on the go. does anyone know a rough guestimation on how much this would cost on a 2000 honda civic.
It's an HTC evo so using Gps is kinda useless w/o a car charger, and with the internet and games and all.

Car audio place maybe 50-75 bucks.
Charge your phone on the go? They also sell rechargers (energizer) that work off of batteries (around 20 bucks). Maybe you should get one of those and use rechargeable batteries in the thing.
OR...
If you have a carrier that uses sim cards you can just get a cheap low function unlocked backup phone on ebay, charge that at home, then put the sim in your backup phone when the battery in your main phone get's low.

check the fuse for that outlet, the power required to run that charger is more than the fuse is rated at id bet. i have seen that happen more than once. look at the requirements for the charger and see if you can find a fuse that barely goes over that.

If it's just a fuse that blew around 30 bucks at most but if it needs a new outlet around 150.00.
