What are these tiny black bugs that are in my skin?
I was walking through some tall grass (wearing flip flops) and my foot hit what felt like a big thorn plant and it was a really sharp stinging pain that has been stinging for at least 30 minutes. I thought it was extremely small black thorns but then they started looking like mini mosquito bites (the white swelling around them, like mosquito bites have). So I look closely and see black bugs on my skin. Can somebody tell me what they are and what to do? They hurt more than they itch but itch a little.
They are extremely small, like small as/smaller than a pinhead, but I found one that was as big a an apple seed on my arm.
it's been about 12 hours since it happened and the bumps have spread (along with itching). Please only answer if you are sure about what it is.
Make that 15 hours, not 12.

This is very obvious. These are called deer ticks. If they are in your skin, then pull them out with long nail clippers and try not to split it in half because the only way to kill them are by burning them.
