Christians and Atheist : do you both understand this?

Until there's no peace, there can actually be no peace.

So stop fighting. Find common ground. Ask one another and find what you both have good.

Otherwise you're only be just another piece of what's happening globally right now, which is what you both do, creating separation, hatred and finally war between human beings.

You know, in those ol' western shows on TV, a stranger would ride into town and find the people in trouble. Then in only 30 minutes (minus commercials) he would magically solve everyone's problems by somehow having more insight and wisdom about the town than any of the citizens who've lived there for generations.

Well, that's why they call it fiction.

The reality is that this is a barely-moderated, free, open forum on a touchy subject (religion). So while trying to stop arguments might SEEM like a heroic cause, it's actually quite naive and doomed to fail.

I don't fight. I explain my position and my interest in religions, and I enjoy tracing religious beliefs and traditions back to the earlier myths from which they derived.

I'm more aware of Christians insulting Christians from other sects, each claiming the others aren't "true Christians", than I am of Christians and Atheists insulting each other (though I am of course aware of it).

By the way, I don't understand what you mean by "Until there's no peace, there can actually be no peace".

Do you realize there are no actual wars between Atheism and Christianity?

There are plenty of wars between Christianity and other religious denominations.

    @ Rabbi Schlomo Schlomberg

Of all of the annoying trolls on this site you are about the most disturbed and most unlike the religions that you supposedly love. If there was a god of any kind, I can't imagine there would be a place for you near him. I would rather have a good person that didn't believe in me than a sadistic little **** like you.

You are so right...I am agnostic myself and learn about science and religion because I believe you can not prove or disprove a god, heaven,or hell.....or if Jesus was the son of a god.........

I do not ask either side questions like"Why believe in something you do not see?"

or"The bible is crap"...those are idiotic questions.........A debate is fine, but that debate should include all sides, not coming to an agreement, but understanding each others religious followings....

There are to many reason people give toward other peoples beliefs..........Finding common ground would mean to talk about each others beliefs and just talk and talk about it...no bad intentions....

Seperation will alway's be there........From church.....to one's home........People of certain faith's will not be around those that are agnostic or atheist or even followers of the same god....even that god...is obscured by many religious packs...it is not looked at as one god.....it is a different god in each domination...

as quickly as I say somebody is forcing their ideals onto others, I mean they're attempting to legislate their non secular ideals, thereby compelling others with the aid of government to maintain on with non secular doctrines they do no longer adhere to. The unusual area is, as quickly as I oppose such issues, it rather is seen as me desirous to inject "atheism" into government. removing government endorsement of any faith isn't the comparable as having the government recommend atheism. permit's say you have been praying in a public construction, and an legitimate advised you to stop, with the aid of fact what you have been doing became a offender offense. it rather is a contravention of your rights, and that i could be on your factor in surprising down any regulation that infringed on that precise. yet on the opposite factor, if there's a prayer in a public place and somebody advised me that i might desire to take part interior the prayer or be removed from the premises, then my rights have additionally been violated. that's what I mean via rigidity. Exchanges between persons may be as fairly or as grotesque with the aid of fact the individuals pick, and that i've got not got any situation with somebody exercising their precise to have faith besides the fact that they want see you later as they go away me out of it. you could bypass out and check out to transform each non-Christian you come upon, and that i individually do no longer care in case you do. yet once you get regulation in touch, then I also have a situation with it.

I do not think that you understand fully what your question is asking. These people have different beliefs and there ae non believers, but i see no hatred or real ill feeling in any of them.

I am not responsible for separation, hatred or war. I control nobody else's responses. This isn't war, this is debate. Adults should be able to disagree without it going to such an extreme.

    Source(s): I think therefore I am Atheist.

No ones nose has been bloodied. Strong beliefs illicit strong emotions. Just the way it is. Over my life I have had many good friends who had different world views including atheism. You don't have to be a Christian to cheer for the Packers!

How about christians stop being willfully ignorant of the universe and join the rest of us in the 21st century?

Also the statement "Until there's no peace, there can actually be no peace." is stupid. its illogical.

The problem is every human thinks he or she is right and can't accept that every one is wrong in some way. Christians think they're right because they see the bible as evidence of christ being here, and Athiests/Agnostics see organized religion as a way of controlling a large group of people through fear of going to hell. They also see the bible as written by humans, so how is it so holy.

so, no one is going to say that they are wrong because of their strong beliefs.
