Should I quit my job?

I am a senior in college, I planned to be able to keep my job until graduation however I was given the opportunity to do an internship instead that is more applicable to my field of study. In order to do this internship, I will have to take an extra class that will make it extremely difficult to keep my cashier position. Will it be alright to leave this position after 3 months or will it look bad on future resumes?

    Give a two week notice, the intership will benefit you more then a job would.
