  • 11 month old belly button piercing question?

I've had my naval piercing for 11 months, and today I noticed it was a little swollen (but not red) and when I pushed on the bar a very thick white with very slight hint of yellow drainage came out of it. The first time I had this type of piercing, I had this occur at 4 months and because there was a lot more puss I was improperly advised to remove it, (which cause a ton of scar tissue making it almost impossible to be redone). Anyway, I used some sea salt solution on it, but I"m wondering if since it is 11 months along if I could use some hibiclens or antibacterial soap on it to help clear this up? I have a doctors appointment in 2 days, but I want to keep it from getting worse in the meantime.

  • Can your dog tell if you are about to have a migraine?

I've heard that some dogs can alert their owners to an impending migraine attack. Can your pet do this? What breed is it?

  • Associates AFTER Bachelors to get into Grad program?

Would getting an Associates in a related field boost my opportunities for grad program acceptance?

Due to some poor circumstances and terrible advising, by baccalaureate transcript is a disaster with almost no math or science classes, a 2.6 GPA and multiple, multiple withdrawals. Would getting an Associates in a math or science heavy applicable field help prove that I can be a good grad student?

  • Platy no longer in labor?

I put my Platy in a breeding box 3 days ago, she looked like she was ready to go, arched back, boxy underside, white birth canal, and exhibiting a lot of the behaviors of a livebearer ready to birth. This will be my 3rd school of fry. Should I leave her in the breeding box? Did I put her in too soon? Is there something wrong? Any advice would be great. Thank you!

  • Best plan of action to get into PSYCH Master's Program?

My GPA in my Bachelor's was a 2.6. I had quite a few health problems while getting my degree, and changed majors part way through which put a damper on things. Would getting good GRE scores help my application enough or should I go back for a second bachelor's or post-grad work?

  • GPA in minor matter for grad school?

My overall GPA was a 2.7, in my major it was a 2.98, and in my minor I had a 3.5. If I were to apply for grad school in the area of my minor (Counseling Psychology) would I have a chance of getting in? I have not taken the GRE yet, and I have worked in an internship and a job that related to the minor. I had several health problems and I switched majors in the process of my degree, and I stupidly pushed through instead of taking time off and returning.

  • Thoughts on Groomsmaids?

Well, Our planned wedding party consisted of 2 bridesmaids, a MOH, two groomsmen, and a Best Man. Only, the groomsmen declined even thought they have been lifelong friends with the Groom.

So my question now is, would it be bad if the grooms sister, and a mutual female friend took over the groomsmen spots? We would have them wear dresses that match the color of the best mans tux. I can add to the bridesmaids easily, but finding groomsmen has been proven quite difficult.

Or should I just suck it up and go with an extremely uneven party, or one MOH and one Bridesmaid with one Best Man and be forced to let my troublesome brother be the second groomsman?

  • Will a 2 in ACF eat a 3/4 in ACF?

Will a 2 inch SVL African clawed frog eat a 3/4 inch SVL African clawed frog?

  • Will heat help ACF grow?

I have an ACF that is about 3/4 inch SVL, and I would like to integrate him into my huge aquarium that contains two other ACFs, the problem is he is about 1/4 inch too small to be in with the others and I fear he will quickly turn into a midnight snack. Would adding a heater to his current tank help speed up his growth any?

  • First mother (birthmother) wants to buy me a B-day present?

My first birthday as a reunited adoptee is coming up, and my first mom keeps asking me what I want. I honestly don't feel right tasking her for anything, and I have told her this, but she won't take no for an answer. (I understand, I'm kind of the same way.) So my question is, what would be an appropriate thing to ask for?

  • Should I quit my job?

I am a senior in college, I planned to be able to keep my job until graduation however I was given the opportunity to do an internship instead that is more applicable to my field of study. In order to do this internship, I will have to take an extra class that will make it extremely difficult to keep my cashier position. Will it be alright to leave this position after 3 months or will it look bad on future resumes?

  • Extremely Small baby, what could be the cause?

One of my relatives has a 14 month old baby who was on the small side of normal when she was born, but is now ridiculously tiny. Her weight seems almost proportional to her height, she's a little thin but not unhealthfully so. She does not have any other structural abnormalities except for unusually shaped eyes, similar to that of a child with Down syndrome, but shows no other signs. She is very slightly behind on her milestones.

What could be causing this? At first I feared failure to thrive or some sort of malnutrition, she did seem to reach a height proportional weight after being switched to formula.

To give you a better idea of the size issue, when people see her initially they think she is a doll, she is shorter than a 6 month old baby, and thinner too.

I'm curious as to what could cause this. I have asked the mother about the child's size and she has not been going to well baby check ups and said that WIC said she's a healthy weight for her size, but I think it is quite concerning.

  • African clawed frog help?

I have two clawed, not dwarf, frogs that I have raised from tadpoles. One of them seems to have something wrong with his eyes. I cannot see the pupil at all and it looks as if it's eyes are "shut". I have had him in the quarantine tank for 5 days with maroxy but it seems not to have helped at all. Can anyone give me more insight as to what this could be?

  • Indiana: Alcohol for reception on Sunday?

"Sales limited to on-premises in restaurants, wineries and breweries on Sundays."

Does this mean that I cannot get a liquor permit for a wedding reception on a Sunday? The liquor will be purchased in advance.

  • July, or September wedding - details included?

I originally had July 3rd booked at a fantastic location, but they called me today to tell me that they had a September sunday open up that would have a block of rooms available whereas the July 3rd one did not. This means a 45 minute drive from the next closest drive to the hotel for all the out of town guests.

I have informed very few people of the date, and could easily change over.

I am graduating college in the spring, FH is already graduated. Once I'm done with school we are moving 12 hours away to be close to his family. We have the money saved for the wedding and about 5 months of rent when we move (hopefully we can get new jobs right away if not before the wedding...)

Would having the extra time to move and get settled in our new area be a benefit, or a disaster?

I've already purchased several items for my July wedding, the colors are David's Bridal tangerine and cornflower. Will these still work for a September wedding?

  • Should I include my brother's birthstone?

I recently reunited with my First Mother, and want to make her a necklace for Mother's Day. I will include my birthstone and my little brothers, but I don't know if I should include my older brothers birthstone, as he passed away in 2002. Any ideas?
