July, or September wedding - details included?

I originally had July 3rd booked at a fantastic location, but they called me today to tell me that they had a September sunday open up that would have a block of rooms available whereas the July 3rd one did not. This means a 45 minute drive from the next closest drive to the hotel for all the out of town guests.

I have informed very few people of the date, and could easily change over.

I am graduating college in the spring, FH is already graduated. Once I'm done with school we are moving 12 hours away to be close to his family. We have the money saved for the wedding and about 5 months of rent when we move (hopefully we can get new jobs right away if not before the wedding...)

Would having the extra time to move and get settled in our new area be a benefit, or a disaster?

I've already purchased several items for my July wedding, the colors are David's Bridal tangerine and cornflower. Will these still work for a September wedding?

It sounds like september would work better for you on many accounts. You guys have a lot going on so go ahead and take the extra time.

As for the colors, don't worry about. First off I think they would still work great in september. But it doesn't always matter, it's your wedding so choose the colors you want no matter the season. Unless your venue, or location (if your outside for example) will clash with the colors then no matter what it will be great.

    Good Luck. And Congrats.

Seems like the September date will work much better for you and your guests. Your colours will be fine for September.

absolutely. september is still filled with the feeling of summer. you don't really get into a fall feeling until at least october, so these colors would still be great.
