Trading my car for a truck?
I'm thinking about trading my 1999 Toyota Camry that has 104k miles on it. It looks great with no rust or mechanical problems for a 99 Ranger XL with 150K miles on it 4x4, looks to be in good shape. Owned by an older man. He wants to trade because his son is going to college and needs a car that is good on gas mileage. I have been advertising on craigslist for a few weeks now about selling it or trading for a 4x4 truck. Just wanted people opinions on the trucks, are they good? Reliable? Gas mileage ok? Any known problems with them?

Yes Ford is reliable.
Ford is so reliable that Ford trucks have outsold all vehicles on the road every year for the past 35 years in a row.
That can't be done without quality AND customer satisfaction.

Either vehicle has less than half its life left in it.
Its about even depending on how it was cared for.
All things being equal, the Toyota will out live the Ford. This particualr model anyway.
If it was an F-150 with a Triton V8, then Id take te Ford.
