1)Another spiritual gift?

There are people with special unusual gifts. However unusual a gift may be there are likely to be several others around the world with the same, or similar.

Special gifts give the possessor of the gift knowledge that others do not have, or only have in part; so it seems that you have been given the responsibility to talk about what you know, through this gift.

Sadly, some people do not want to know because it rocks their comfortable world - view or, because they do not believe in spiritual gifts (I imagine that it is spiritual) which are normally beyond the boundaries of scientific research and analysis.

There is usually pain associated with these 'special knowledge' gifts, so it is truly a mixed blessing.

Like you it deeply hurts me that people can be so cruel and insensitive to creatures that have all our range of feelings, especially pets, that have developed the need for human company and support. They all suffer the fear of pain and being lost in a strange environment with the threat of cold, hunger, thirst and danger. To cage wild animals is cruelty of a very intense kind.

Animals will sense that you have this gift and will be specially trusting of you. Like St Francis of Assisi

Animals, as we know, have an uncanny knack of reading the emotions of people. Those people who are sensitive to emotions also seem to radiate powerful emotions, a concept which is incorporated by the description of auras, so they may describe you as having a strong aura. Thus, any positive emotion you have towards the animal will be felt quite clearly and distinctly. People often say that they can "sense tension" in a room, well that's an indication of what's described above, it's just people tend to ignore the effect we have on our surrounding atmosphere.

There are plenty of religious groups that claim to have some sort of empathetic connection like this (some neo-Pagan traditions, some American Indian traditions, etc.). Whether or not you want to interpret this as a "spiritual gift" is entirely up to you.

It is a gift in my opinion. Thank you for loving animals. It says a lot about you.
