Balboa Park. So gorgeous. You can go to the zoo and have pictures taken with different animals. There is a gorgeous gazebo there where a lot of people get married. Water fountains. Archways. Huge trees. In very little walking you can get lots of different backgrounds.

For engagement photos I think it looks best if people wear normal clothing. Then you can have these for years to come. As cheesy at it seems, in the photos it turns out incredible to wear matching outfits. Both wear bright green polos, then switch to button up shirts. He can wear a shirt and you a shirt dress. Carry at least 4 shirts to change into.

You can imitiate animals. You can play in the fountain. He can carry you. Balboa Park also has an ethnic village. It's these little huts and each one represents a different country. That might inspire you as well.

If you still want to do the bridal shots there as well that's fine but it will take longer. The photographer will probably charge you for 2 sessions. I think it works best to have your bridal portrait done on whatever day you practice your hair. That way the hair will look like it does on your wedding day. I decided not to do my bridal portrait and just have one of my shots from the wedding blown up to be my bridal portrait.

You could take a pic of you two at the san diego zoo. Or have a pic of you taken eating something famous to the san diego area.
